Astral travel is the soul’s sojourn into the inner levels of mind. The visit occurs every night while sleeping, a natural release as the waking mind rests. Astral travel is possible while waking and can be gained through progressive relaxation combined with visualization.

Anyone can astral travel if they cause there to be a state of relaxation, reducing tension, allowing the muscles to become like water. Since tension is held unconsciously for most, this takes practice. Breath is a wonderful means to release tension. Breathing very deep in a rhythmic manner for 6 seconds, holding the breath for 6 seconds and then releasing the breath for the same time period is instrumental in gradually releasing tension. Combine the breathing with tensing the body while inhaling and holding, then relaxing the tension while exhaling is a powerful way to become more and more relaxed and peaceful which is conducive to astral travel.

Once the body is relaxed and peaceful, begin imaging a warm light enveloping the body. While in a relaxed state, picture in your mind the body rising out of the physical form and floating. Continue breathing, remain calm and with daily practice one will become ready for astral travel.

Finding a good massage therapist is essential for having a comfortable, relaxing and relieving massage experience. With a little research and reading, you can find the right massage therapist for you. Make of list of the type of therapies you want, such as sports or reflexology, to narrow down the choices.

Check with the state licensing board first. Some states require massage therapists have a license to operate, and in order to get a license, a therapist typically has to document training and pass health inspections. The board can provide you with a list of licensed therapists in your area, and the list is your starting point.

Contact the therapists in your area on the licensed list and ask if the therapist carries malpractice insurance. The insurance provides you with some protection in case of an accident during therapy. Remove those without insurance from your list. Ask the therapists that have insurance if they offer the type of therapy you’re looking for, and eliminate therapists from your list that don’t offer what you need.

Ask family, friends and your doctor if they can recommend a massage therapist to you. Check your list to see if any therapist listed was recommended. Schedule an appointment with a recommended therapist that’s on your list.

Muscles can respond to massage therapy in very positive ways when the right massage techniques are employed. Some people prefer a message that is intended to help them relax their muscles. This type of massage involves gently rubbing the surface fibers of the muscles in order to stimulate a relaxing of each muscle-s involuntary contraction. This is a great massage for stress relief, but it actually does very little for the muscles themselves.

To revitalize muscles, one must employ deep tissue massage techniques. In deep tissue massage, slower firmer movements are used to work through the surface fibers of muscles to the deeper core fibers where lactic acid and other toxins become trapped. Deep massage can be painful, but a masseuse must push passed nerves and surface-fibers to stimulate the needs of muscles. By deeply probing muscles and reaching acutely buried fibers one is able to stimulate and adjust the inner core of fibers. This treatment of the muscle core is what revitalizes muscles.

Deep tissue massage is a general term for a style of massage. The specific names to request are Swedish massage, Thai massage, sports massage or lymphatic drainage massage. These styles vary slightly but results are similar.

If you plan on spending much of the fall season sitting on the couch watching football on your http://www.direct.tv/ satellite you’ve at least got to eat well. There are some great feel-good foods this time of year so skip the potato skins and munch on some of these healthy, cathartic foods
Cranberries – They’ve got more antioxidants than almost any other fruit but they’re easy to cook with and versatile, too. They’re especially cheap this time of year so snack on them dried, baked into something, or in sauce form. It’s your call.
Pumpkin – The funny thing about the benefits of pumpkin are that the fruit/veggie is best when eaten alongside cinnamon. Cinnamon has long been touted as an appetite suppressant and it’s got a lot of good endorphin-boosting radicals, too, so chow down.
Apples – Tis the time of year for the fruit that supposedly keeps the doctor away. Apples are especially rich in fiber so they’ll keep you full longer and the keep fresh longer than many other fruits. Buy them in bulk and even dry them for a crunchy snack.

Many people believe that there is a higher power. Some of those same people are looking for ways to improve their health. The great news is that people who are spiritual live longer, healthier lives than those who are not and there have been several studies done to confirm this. There was a study done by the Stanford University that examined the relationship between church-going and lifespan. The results were that people who attended church on a regular basis lived to be an average of 83 while those who did not attend only lived to be 75.I found some more information here.

Most people who are spiritual also meditate on a regular basis. Meditation is linked to a reduced stress level and lower blood pressure. Behaviors such as smoking, drinking and sleeping around are considered sins by most religions. Engaging in those type of behaviors increase the risk of serious health problems. Coincidentally, most religions consider risky behaviors to be sinful, which is why most spiritual people try to avoid them.

Most people who practice a spiritual lifestyle do so because they believe that there is life after death. Being a spiritual person can help improve a person’s life and health while he or she is still living.

An Aura is the large magnetic energy field that surrounds every person or things. The aura can be felt, sensed and sometimes even seen around a body. An aura has certain characteristics like certain sounds, colors and shapes. There are three sections of an aura. Every section actually relates to and has a specific purpose in a persons life. In each sections the aura has energy layers which are the colors of the aura. The inner section is just a few inches away from the body.I found some more information here. This is usually displayed as a thin white light and outlines the entire body. The next section is the mid section. It is usually about three to four inches from the body and can extend out up to twenty five feet. This section can reflect the well being of the person, personal traits and recent moods. The third section is where the early memories from this life and things that happened in a past life is stored. This section also reflect the emotional and mental state of a person. The third section is usually not read without the persons permission because it contains more intimate details. The first two sections hold things that are not so private. The aura can be like looking into someones soul.

Visualization exercises are great for anyone needing a quick stress reliever. Visualizations are simple, effective, and take as little as five minutes. There are no rules about visualizing; it’s all about what works for you. There are however, some simple exercises you could follow that may make the process easier.

The first step is to get in a comfortable posture. You could sit in a chair, sit in a lotus position, lie down, or get in your favorite yoga position. Once you found a position you are comfortable with, close your eyes and take few deep breaths.

Once you feel settled in, visualize about any place you would like to be at. This could be a natural scenery like a beach, forest, or a garden. You may also revisit a pleasant childhood memory. The location does not even have to be a physical place on earth. It can be a sacred place like heaven. Try surrounding yourself with your loved ones, angelic beings, fairies, or you may be by yourself if you prefer.

Maintain the visualization for as long as you like. Remember that this is not a chore, and that the main idea is to just let loose and have fun with the exercise.

There are many relaxation techniques that are good for your body. If your under a lot of stress, there are some really good techniques that you can use to relax. One of them is referred to as autogenic relaxation. You can use both visual imagery as well as body awareness to reduce stress. You can repeat words as well as suggestions in your mind to relax and reduce muscle tension.
Another relaxation technique is known as progressive muscle relaxation.Get more information here. http://www.everydayhealth.com/anxiety-disorder/anxiety-tips.aspx You can focus slowly on tensing and then relaxing each muscle group. By doing this, you will become more aware of physical sensations. If you start with your toes, and then work your way back up to your neck and head, you can relax and tense the muscles. You can also do this the other way around.
Visualization is a very common relaxation technique. You are suppose to form mental images in your head. Think of taking a visual journey to a peaceful, calming place or situation. This will really help you to relax. During this time, you should also use as many senses possible. You can choose to close your eyes, and sit in a peaceful and quiet room or spot.
